In addition, local nonprofit SNIP Bus donated a year-long supply of flea& tick medications, to provide the MCSO K-9 unit with preventative care & maintenance.
In total, Berlin USA & SNIP Bus donated $7500 worth of supplies on behalf of SAC to support the MCSO K-9 Unit. MCSO thanks these donors for giving back to our local heroes & K-9 deputies.

The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office & SAC held a joint event(“Raise the Bar”) to raise funds for gym renovations. With the current MCSO facility lacking functional &essential equipment, it became evident that major updates were needed.
From private donations to a live auction, the Sheriff Advisory Council was able to raise $76,825.00 for MCSO’s new gym. Renovation designs are underway & MCSO hopes to reveal the updated training facility soon. This space will support the physical & mental well-being of Monterey County Sheriff’s Office, and in turn will help to better serve& protect the community of Monterey County.

The MCSO Air Support Unit – Drone team worked in conjunction with the Sheriff’s Advisory Council (SAC) to obtain a new piece of equipment: The Applied Aeronautics Albatross – A Fixed Wing Drone. The new drone will provide more efficient visuals & tactical support in comparison to MCSO’s quadcopters, allowing Air Support to monitor situations for a longer period of time.
Thanks to the generous support of donations from SAC, MCSO was able to purchase the $76,000 drone, including a ground control station with long range downlink, a field repair kit, extra parts, training and support.
